The World of Harajuku Lovers Fragrances

If you've never heard of Harajuku Lovers you must be from another planet. In 2005 Gwen Stefani presented the world with her new fashion line (to join the successful L.A.M.B.) called Harajuku Lovers. This Japanese techno-pop brand rocked our world with clothes, accessories and stationery full of color, fun, irreverence and style in an irresistible way that only Stefani would be capable of. To make the World of Harajuku Lovers complete, a first set of 5 fragrances saw the light in early summer, 2008.
The Harajuku Station, in Tokyo, was the primary inspiration for Gwen. Since her first journey to Japan in 1996, she was amazed with the fashion styles and self-expression of the Japanese teenagers. Around Harajuku Station, especially in Takeshita Dori Street and Ometosando Avenue, the local teenage culture can be experienced at its best. The fresh and independent style of the Japanese youth was the foundation of The World of Harajuku Lovers Fragrances.
The Harajuku Lovers line takes its name from the Harajuku Girls, the four back vocal-dancers performing onstage with Gwen. Their stage names are Love, Angel, Music and Baby, names that (no, no by coincidence) are the Gwen's solo album debut and also the names for the acronym L.A.M.B., first Stefani's fashion line.
The 4 Harajuku Girls and G (Stefani herself) are the 5 perfumes-characters of Harajuku Lovers Fragrances. Each one represents one type of woman, having its own personality and individual scent. What they all have in common is that they are irresistibly cute. So adorable that it would be hard to decide what to try first.
Let's now meet these cute, sweet little girls. Konnichi wa Harajuku Lovers!

These cute little dolls are fitted in a like-glass pedestal base that contains the fragrance. The doll is the cap that covers the actuator. Each box has the colors and ribbons that fit with the Harajuku Lovers girl enclosed inside. At the back, a description of each girl and her personality comes along with a beautiful illustration of the doll.
The collection has some new versions of these 5 fragrances - girls. When the first snows arrive, the Harajuku Lovers girls put on their stylish winter clothes and become Harajuku Lovers Snow Bunnies. And when it's summer time, the girls have some fun with their stylish bikinis and bring new fresher summer aromas.
If this wasn't enough, there are also the newest Harajuku Lovers Wicked Style, a more fun version of the girls, now named Gothic Lolita, Sweet Lolita, Visual Kei, Kawaii and Omotesando Girl. They have bright colorful hair and are all dressed in new fashions originated in Japan. And, of course, each one has a new fragrance as fresh as her look.
